Transizione da scarpa normale a scarpa barefoot

Everything starts with our feet. Our feet help us in our first contact with the earth and become loyal companions that guide us around the world. That is why we continue to preach about the benefits of walking barefoot.

Barefoot shoes are designed to allow the foot to grow naturally without external influences. Most traditional shoes are either too tight or too cushioned. This often leads to pain in the feet and bunions, and can even damage the joints. If you experience this too, you may want to switch to barefoot shoes. The shape of barefoot shoes perfectly reflects the natural curvature of the foot. In addition to the thin zero-drop sole, it allows you to flex and extend your foot and distribute your force properly when walking. We've already discussed the benefits of barefoot shoes for kids, but the same concept applies to adults. Shoes shape our feet. If you're considering switching to barefoot shoes, we've put together some helpful tips. Let's get started!

1.No hurry

For us, nothing is more relaxing than walking barefoot. However, trying to get back to basics may not be as fun as you thought. Not at least at first. why? Because my feet are used to wearing padded shoes all the time! You have to play it safe and work on it slowly. One possibility is to gradually purchase shoes with even smaller drops from 12mm to 0. But if you don't want to spend a lot of money on three or four pairs of different shoes, you can start with zero drops. However, if you want to make the safe switch to barefoot shoes, it's best not to wear them all day in the first place.Instead, gradually integrate them into your daily routine ;).

2. Get ready to go barefoot

To get used to the new feeling, take off your regular shoes and go completely barefoot for at least 10 minutes each day. Until you get used to barefoot shoes. It feels like a second skin, so it's not difficult, right? You can easily do this by going barefoot at home or on the beach. Either way, it's important that your feet and body can adapt to the changes. Did you know that your feet have over 200,000 nerve endings? They generate important sensory feedback and keep our mind and body connected to our feet at all times. Also, as far as safety is concerned, walking barefoot on hard surfaces such as concrete or sharp gravel is not recommended. While there is much debate about how our feet adapt to hard surfaces, we need minimal padding to protect our feet from cuts, dangerous parasites, slippery surfaces, or burns. Do not forget that it is.

3. Try leg exercises

As I said before, it's difficult to suddenly step back and go barefoot. However, like any other intense workout, even if your legs and calves are sore, they will eventually become stronger. Therefore, you should consider doing leg exercises. Yes, your toes need exercise too! It's important to stretch your legs for a smooth transition to barefoot shoes. After your first barefoot run, we recommend doing a series of exercises daily (no longer than 30 minutes) to relax tight muscles and tendons.
