Grandson of a cobbler, Charles was always well versed in the magical universe of footwear. Inherently curious, he began asking himself why such an ancient and indispensable everyday item, still created such pains to so many people daily.
And with that spirit of wonder, the adventure began: first with Charles so painful but yet rewarding transition to minimal shoes. (learn more about adult transition here).Wanting his kids to grow up with minimal shoes so they don't have to transition, Charles set on a mission to create the first-ever Italian barefoot shoe brand
After 18 months of researching , Charles teamed up with a designer and experienced podologist.Together, they crafted the first collection in the summer 22' and are still on the quest to create the most sustainable minimal children shoe.
The result? An entirely new category of shoes made with sustainable materials and a persistent drive to create greater shoes with less.
COLLINE represents the perfect mix among product originality, brand popularity and storytelling related to them. Quality is the core of the brand given the excellent materials it invests in.
Of course, the biggest challenge is to increase COLLINE brand awareness. Necessary to combat the distrust associated with a brand that is new to the retail market. Currently, in fact, in the fashion world there is a lot of diffidence and caution due to economic downturn period; very often it happens that stores, although attracted by the product, do not want to take the risk of including emerging brands, preferring instead already famous companies that they are (almost) sure to sell to their customers. This superficiality can be very debasing for young brands like us who are trying to emerge with passion and sacrifice, but it is at the same time a source of motivation to strive to grow COLLINE.
